Description
The Clogau brand has become renowned around the world not just for their striking designs but for being worn by members of the Royal family including Her Majesty the Queen and the late Princess Diana of Wales.
The Gold of Royalty
Clogau is proud to be known as ‘The Gold of Royalty’, the most popular pieces of Clogau have been created and produced for some of the leading members of the Royal family, from queen Elizabeth to most recently the wedding bands used at Prince Harry & Duchess Meghan’s wedding. This tradition has been in place since the early 1900s and will continue for many more years to come, as the inclusion of the highly sought after, desirable and unique Welsh Gold is now a vital part of any jewellery related gift or offering within the Royal Family.
Are Gold Earrings Heavy?
No, this is a common misunderstanding. Whilst gold is a denser material than that of silver or led, the difference in weight when considering earrings is minimal, the likelihood is you will not feel the difference if you were to put a silver earring in one ear, and a gold in the other.
How Can You Tell If It’s Real Gold?
All Clogau pieces come with authentic Welsh Gold, accompanied by either a 925 Sterling Silver or a 9ct Yellow Gold. For this particular product the hooped bases and setting contains 9ct yellow gold, set with smaller diamonds. To test the quality of your gold at home, you may dab vinegar on the back of the earrings. Real gold will not change with the addition of vinegar, however fake gold will change in colour.
