The Clogau brand was first brought to life when a local Welshman named William Roberts made an exciting discovery in the rural mountains of Snowdonia. Roberts was able to extract a stockpile of rare Welsh gold that was then used exclusively to create the jewellery that founded the Clogau brand. Since then, Clogau jewellery has become renowned around the world not just for their striking designs but for being worn by members of the Royal family including Her Majesty the Queen and the late Princess Diana of Wales.
All our Clogau jewellery is delivered in elegant Clogau packaging.

The love spoon is traditionally seen as a symbol of love and promise, delicatley handcrafted with rose gold and sterling silver and set with gorgeous white topaz. The heart on the love spoon is said to represent wealth or good fortune. One heart signifies that the girl/boy has taken hold of the young man/woman’s heart. Two hearts on the same spoon means that love is reciprocated. The earliest sign of the Welsh love spoon dates back to as early as the 17th century, typically they are wooden with detailing that closely resembles the same patterns on these earrings.
These earrings overall represent the beautiful feeling of unconditional love, if you are looking for a simple yet affectionate gift for someone special to you this Valentine’s day, this would be a great option . In addition to these earrings, Clogau has made a matching ring and and necklace with the same intricate detailing. Better yet, if you prefer silver jewellery, there’s alternatively a silver version of these earrings, necklace and ring. These would be great for casual, every day wear and evening wear because of the simplicity and elegance.
Clogau has a special, rare piece of Welsh gold included in each jewellery product, for over 100 years, the brand has been known as the ‘Gold of Royalty’. The Clogau St David’s mine was once the richest and largest of all the mines of all time. Known for its unique rose-yellow tone, this is a result of the copper that had been previously mined there, giving this rose cast to the gold. Clogau also has a signature mark, each piece of jewellery contains the unique Welsh dragon and ‘CG’. Each piece is crafted using traditional jewellery making techniques to ensure the highest quality and standard.
