One of the fan favourite characters, and part of the incredible duo of Han & Chewie, Chewbacca is one of the fiercest Wookie warriors within the Star Wars Universe. Continuously serving as co-pilot to the Millennium Falcon, he was once a member of a core group of rebels who restored freedom the galaxy and ended the reign of the Galactic Empire. Not in many instances are the prequel trilogy of Star Wars praised, however when it comes to Chewie, fans were ecstatic to see that Chewie finally received his medal of honour for defending the galaxy, for practically what felt like the 100th time Chewie has saved the case, we see him fight off the storm troopers, and enemy basis continuously throughout the franchise films and series.
However, fans were deeply heartbroken at the thought of Chewie’s loss when Han Solo was killed by his son Ben, this loss shock fans to their core as the realisation that Chewie had obviously been a large part of Bens childhood, and the two had at one point been close friends, and even considered to be family.
However, fans were delighted to see Chewbacca still back in action, this time amongst newer friends as he takes flight with Ray, Po & others to help defeat Kylo Ren.
